A key component of the Report Women! Female Reporters Leadership Fellowship Programme is a three-month mentoring period where the reporting and leadership skills of trained female journalists are honed to practice what they have learned through the completion of story and leadership projects.
The mentoring serves as a period of direct coaching by a team of versatile and experienced professionals who serve as resource persons. The reporters have direct access to mentors who guide them through the three-months of mentorship through multimedia platforms such as phone, Skype, WhatsApp and face-to-face. Female reporters are expected to engage with the mentors and get the needed guidance and approval to implement their projects.
Since the commencement of the FRLP fellowship in 2017, the WSCIJ has engaged with a team of professional coaches of international repute and knowledge in the fields of journalism, leadership, entrepreneurship, law and policy advocacy.
