Josephine Obiajulu Okei-Odumakin is a prominent women’s rights activist, serving as the president of the human rights groups Women Arise for Change Initiative and the Campaign for Democracy.<\/p>\n
She earned a bachelor’s degree in English education in 1987, followed by a Master’s in Guidance & Counseling, and a doctorate in History and Policy of Education from the University of Ilorin.<\/p>\n
Throughout her career, Odumakin has been involved in over 2,000 cases where women’s rights were disregarded, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to advancing gender equality and justice.<\/p>\n
In recognition of her tireless efforts, the United States Department of State honoured her with the International Women of Courage Award in 2013.<\/p>\n
