{"id":2480,"date":"2023-03-20T05:41:27","date_gmt":"2023-03-20T04:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reportwomen.org\/experts\/?post_type=rwexperts&#038;p=2480"},"modified":"2024-02-27T13:44:24","modified_gmt":"2024-02-27T12:44:24","slug":"meet-dr-aishatu-abubakar-baju","status":"publish","type":"rwexperts","link":"https:\/\/reportwomen.org\/experts\/rwexperts\/meet-dr-aishatu-abubakar-baju\/","title":{"rendered":"Aishatu Abubakar-Baju"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Education &amp; Certifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aishatu obtained a PhD from the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom, where she worked on the Molecular Epidemiology of Bovine and Human Tuberculosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Career &amp; Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aishatu completed her primary, secondary and tertiary education with impressive grades and bagged the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, DVM, a degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was enlisted into the NPF in 1995.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aishatu is the first female AIGP to head the Force Animal Branch in the history of NPF and the successful establishment of an ultra-modern police dog breeding centre in Abuja, the first of its kind in the entire West African region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She advocated for female police postings to responsibilities hitherto considered &#8220;impossible&#8221; for women in the NPF. She possesses vast technical-know- how, innovative, professional, and versatile experience in her area of expertise and possesses real qualities in management and administration.
