{"id":2346,"date":"2023-03-18T23:20:53","date_gmt":"2023-03-18T22:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reportwomen.org\/experts\/?post_type=rwexperts&#038;p=2346"},"modified":"2024-02-28T15:33:15","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T14:33:15","slug":"meet-oluwatosin-dokpesi","status":"publish","type":"rwexperts","link":"https:\/\/reportwomen.org\/experts\/rwexperts\/meet-oluwatosin-dokpesi\/","title":{"rendered":"Oluwatosin Dokpesi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Career &amp; Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to joining DAAR Communications Limited in 1996, Oluwatosin Dokpesi was at Clapper Board Television as a presenter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mrs. Dokpesi, who started her media career in the early 1990s with Clapper Board TV in Lagos, joined DAAR Communications PLC as a youth corps member and grew to make a name for herself with her incisive interviews as one of the pioneer anchors of the flagship breakfast show Kakaaki, and the evening News Hour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was listed among the top 25 powerful women journalists in Nigeria by the Women in Journalism Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She had her first degree at the University of Lagos, where she studied Zoology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc.) and later studied Mass Communication as a post-graduate degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills Utilisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mrs Dokpesi is a manager of people and has the capacity of bringing out the best in a journalist.
