Abudu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Career &amp; Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mo Abudu attended the University of Westminster for Master\u2019s in Human Resources; and is CEO of EbonyLife Group, one of Africa\u2019s leading media conglomerates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abudu began her career in human resources, later owning her own recruitment firm and developing the Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park &#8211; Nigeria\u2019s first new-build hotel of its type.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She launched her media career with Inspire Africa, an edutainment company designed to inspire, educate, motivate and entertain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2013 Abudu launched EbonyLife TV, a Pan African entertainment channel on the DStv network, driven by a belief to uplift Africa\u2019s image in the media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abudu has received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Babcock University in 2014 and one in 2018 for her contributions to the broadcasting industry in Nigeria by the University of Westminster in London.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sequel to her invitation to join the Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences in the Producer membership category, she became the first Sub-Saharan African woman to join the Oscars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forbes Magazine described her as \u2018Africa\u2019s Most Successful Woman,\u2019 and in 2021, named Abudu as one of the \u2018World\u2019s 100 Most Powerful Women.\u2019 The same year, she was named in the Variety500 2021, the benchmark of influencers shaping the global entertainment industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abudu expanded from linear television to start a film company, EbonyLife Films, which has ushered in a movement that revolutionises the trends in African filmmaking, with eight movies to date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abudu has won several awards and is the Director of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the organisation responsible for staging the world-famous International Emmy Awards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analysis of her capacity: Abudu is a media
