She introduced \u2018Synthetic Phonics,\u2019 which has a proven record of success in getting readers to read and write within a very short period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She explained that the phonics method is an approach that focuses on teaching of sound-letter correspondences. According to her, the method works by rapidly teaching pupils, starting with the smallest units of speech, teaching them sounds and building up bigger units by blending the sounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eishet is the author of a handbook titled: \u201cTeaching Reading and Writing to Beginners,\u201d a synthetic phonics for second language teachers.
