{"id":1732,"date":"2023-02-20T04:27:41","date_gmt":"2023-02-20T03:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reportwomen.org\/experts\/?post_type=rwexperts&#038;p=1732"},"modified":"2023-12-19T14:37:35","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T13:37:35","slug":"meet-dr-rosemary-audu","status":"publish","type":"rwexperts","link":"https:\/\/reportwomen.org\/experts\/rwexperts\/meet-dr-rosemary-audu\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Rosemary Audu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Career &amp; Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In May 2017, Dr. Rosemary Audu was named Laboratory Director and Head of the Department of Microbiology at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR).<br \/>\nShe has a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology with a focus in virology, and she does research on viral hepatitis, the human papilloma virus, and HIV.<\/p>\n<p>She established the Center for Human Virology and Genomics&#8217; quality management system and has worked on numerous HIV\/AIDS research projects.<br \/>\nAudu is currently mentoring other laboratories in Nigeria for accreditation as a trained assessor for the African Society for Laboratory Medicine and ISO 15189.<\/p>\n<p>She is a participant in Nigeria&#8217;s National Technical Working Group on Viral Hepatitis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills Utilisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Her diverse career includes work on hepatitis, HPV, and HIV\/AIDS research.
