Education & Certifications

Dr. Oluranti Adebule, the 15th Deputy Governor of Lagos State studied Islamic education at the Lagos State University (LASU) and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1992. She later obtained a Master’s and Doctorate degree in curriculum studies from the same institution which she completed in 2012.

Career & Expertise

She taught at Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Epe, and later at the Lagos State University’s Department of Curricular Activities.

Her entry into politics began in October 2000, when she was named Commissioner of the Teachers’ Establishment and Pensions Office, formerly the Lagos State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (PP-TESCOM). She kept that role up until February 2005, at which point she was appointed to the Lagos State Scholarship Board, where she served until November 2005. She was appointed as the State Government’s Secretary in July 2011 and took office as Lagos State’s deputy governor on May 29, 2015.
