Since January 2016, Mrs. Yinka Shokunbi has served as Managing Editor of HealthStylePlus, an online magazine that covers all facets of health and lifestyles.

She worked as a health  reporter, labour and judicial reporter with Punch Newspapers between 1990 and 2001.

She was General Editor at The Breeze Magazine between 2001 and 2004.

She was the Health Editor, the Group Life editor and Assistant Editor at Independent Newspapers Limited from May 2004 until November 2015, where she authored, edited, and oversaw the production of stories on various topics on health and wellbeing; human interests and lifestyles.

Shokunbi was elected president of the Network of Reproductive Health Journalists, Nigeria in February 2021 after being the National Secretary for 10 years.
