Iwuoha attended the University of Lagos, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the English Language and Literature, General, 1986 – 1990.

She also attended the Nigerian Institute of Journalism for a postgraduate diploma in 1997.

Career & Expertise

Yewande Iwuoha is a broadcast journalist with over 30 years of experience.

She is a winner of the Nigeria Media Merit Awards, on the platform of which she won the Best Radio Production Award twice in 2013 and also in 2014.

She has been the General Manager, Raypower FM since 1996. She had also worked as Senior Correspondent THISDAY from 1995-1996; and also, as Senior Correspondent with PUNCH Newspapers between 1994 and 1995. She is a blogger under the title, Action Now Against Drug Abuse.

She is a Certified Member, of the Nigeria Guild Of Editors since December 2021; and an Associate Member International AIDS Society, among others.

She can give views on security matters and the effect of illicit drugs in Nigeria.
