Stella Oduah studied Accounting and obtained a Bachelor’s degree at St. Paul College, Lawrenceville, United States. She obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration, also in the US.
Career & Expertise
She returned to Nigeria in 1983, and got employed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and in 1992, she left the NNPC job to set up her own company.
In 2011, she was involved in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2011 campaign and assigned the office of Director of Admin and Finance at the Goodluck Support Group office.
She initiated a strategic group called ‘Neigbour-2-Neighbour’ campaign group that handled the campaign process from the ward level for Jonathan.
After Jonathan won the election, he appointed her as the Minister of Aviation, but later in 2015; she was elected Senator for Anambra North District in the National Assembly.
Skills Utilisation
We can contact her when there is a need for better understanding on how to lobby for sound policies to be implemented. Oduah is a political strategist and mobiliser. She also has knowledge and experience in lawmaking, policy formation, and implementation.
