Igbo is a Professor of Adult and Non-formal Education at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ebonyi State Nigeria.
She earned a Bachelors degree in Foundations of Education and an MEd degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
She also obtained Masters and doctorate degrees in Adult and Non-formal Education from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and a Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in Home Economics (Vocational Education) from the Federal College of Education, Katsina; an affiliate of Bayero University, Kano Nigeria.
She is a member of the African Council for Distance Education. Igbo has authorship of nine educational texts. In 26 years of university teaching and 10 years of the basic/secondary levels, she has provided quality academic leadership and participated in research of high impact.
