Career & Expertise

A professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Ilorin’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Moji Bakare-Odunola graduated with a PhD from Zaria’s Ahmadu Bello University (1992). She has worked as the coordinator at the African Centre for Herbal Research since 2015.

She was a Fellow of the Science Association of Nigeria and served as Desk Officer, Ilorin, at the Association of West African Universities in 2018.

She is currently studying ethnomedicine.

Skills Utilisation

She understudies traditional medicine, which is used by many ethnic groups, especially those who have little access to western medications, such as indigenous peoples, and is based on bioactive substances found in plants and animals.
