Oselebe obtained a PhD from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2003.
She is a Professor of Genetics and Plant Breeding in the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources Management, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki. She is the Dean of the Faculty since 2018. A Fellow of Norman E. Borlaug, currently researching breeding crops for increased yield/quality and stress tolerance; biodiversity conservation and utilisation and climate change adaptation.
