At Abia State University in Uturu’s Faculty of Health Sciences, Ebele Uzodike is a professor of optometry.
She received a PhD and an MSc in Environmental Health Biology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2015 and 2002 respectively.

A fellow of the Nigeria College of Optometrists, she served as Abia State University’s deputy provost in 2015.
