Pauline Tallen obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1982 from the University of Jos in 1982. She also attended Harvard University USA for a Programme in Strategic Public Sector Negotiations; John F. N. Kennedy School of Government, among others.
Career & Expertise
She was appointed Plateau State Commissioner of Social Development, Youth, Sports and Culture and held the position from February 1994 to August 1995 and later appointed Plateau State Commissioner of Health, a position she held from September 1995 to December 1996.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed her Minister of State for Science and Technology from June 1999 to May 2003.
She served as State’s Deputy Governor from May 2007 to May 2011; National Adviser of the National Campaign Women Council APC, Board of Trustees of the All Progressive Congress (APC), all in 2015.
In 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed her the Minister of Women Affairs, a position she holds to date [November 2022].
