Education & Certifications
Dr. Iwuagwu attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State from 1987 – 1992 where she obtained a BNSc. in Nursing. She also attended the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State from 1995 – 2000 and obtained a Masters degree in Public Health.
She also attended New York University, New York, between 2003 and 2004 where she obtained a Masters of Science in Management degree. For her PhD in Health Education, she attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, from 2004 – 2009.
Career & Expertise
Dr. Iwuagwu’s agricultural practice is in the area of integrated organic farming. She farms rabbit, snail, pig, chicken, goat, fish, mushroom, vegetables, fruits and herbs. She’s also into processing of fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices into powders for easy consumption. Her farm also engages in training other farmers.
Prior to diversifying into agriculture, she was a healthcare practitioner.
Dr. Iwuagwu is an Ashoka Fellow, a Walker Presidential Fellow, a Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow and a New York University African Women Public Service Fellow.
She is a member of the Nigerian Association of Nurses in North America.
