Career & Expertise

Oluyemi-Kusa has over 25 years of experience as a Conflict Transformation Expert, Mediator and Academic. She is profiled in Who is Who in Nigeria (2006-date). She is the recipient of the National Peace Award (2010).

She has been lecturing at Lagos State University for two decades. She was the Head of the Department of Political Science, the first Director of the Centre for Refugee and Conflict Studies and a Member of the University Senate. She is also Director, External Conflict Prevention and Resolution, Institute for Peace, and Conflict Resolution. She is currently an Independent Consultant and Conflict Transformation Expert, based in Abuja.

Her major objective is to use alternative methods to transform conflicts in Africa. She is interested in African traditional methods of conflict resolution.
