She studied Law in the University Of Jos, graduated in 1991 and attended Nigerian Law School in 1992.
Career & Expertise
Her foray into politics saw her getting elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Langtang North, Langtang South of Plateau State in 2007, and in 2019, she was re-elected to a fourth term.
She served as the House Committee Chair on Women’s affairs and the Committee on Human Rights. She has supported emergency funding for the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), increased penalties for child abuse and the creation of a National Child Protection and Enforcement Agency.
She has always advocated for women’s participation in government and was in support of the Gender and Equal Opportunities Bill.
