Education & Certifications
Asabe Ahmed attended the College of Education, Zaria for her National Certificate of Education in 1976 and later graduated from Ahmadu Bello University in 1982 with a Bachelor’s degree in Language Arts. She got her Master’s degree from the Nigerian Defence Academy.
Career & Expertise
Ahmed started her career as a secondary school teacher, later joining the Niger State Ministry of Education. She was transferred to Kaduna Refining and Petrol-Chemical Company in 1986.
In 2011, she was appointed Special Adviser to former Governor Babangida Aliyu on Investment and Housing and in 2014, former President Goodluck Jonathan appointed her Minister of State for Agriculture.
