Ayo-Aderele has worked in the field for over three decades and has overseen several beats like education, population, politics, and health, for which she has garnered numerous prestigious media honours.
Adesola, who has also worked as an exchange student at Stanford University in California, USA, is one of the few seasoned Nigerian journalists to successfully shift from print to digital media, becoming a useful journalism educator, whether in the workplace or in the classroom.
She has worked in a number of prestigious journalism roles, and she served as the founding editor of the online health vertical HealthWise, which was launched in January 2020 by the PUNCH Media Foundation with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The website was recognised for excellence in health promotion journalism at the Impact Africa Summit in 2021.
She was appointed Editor of PUNCH Online, the premier online publication of PUNCH Nigeria Limited, the country’s most popular media company and under her watch, the online medium became Nigeria’s No.1 digital news media platform.
