Itoro is a highly experienced business development professional with a strong background in nonprofit organizations, international law, policy analysis, program evaluation, and public policy.
As the founder of the Mirabel Centre in Lagos, Itoro has made significant contributions to combating domestic violence in Nigeria. She drafted the first domestic violence bill in the country and spearheaded advocacy campaigns for its passage into law in 12 states and at the National Assembly.
The Mirabel Centre, under Itoro’s leadership, continues to offer free medical and psychosocial support to survivors of rape and sexual assault.
Itoro holds an LLB from the University of Calabar and an LLM from the American University of Washington College of Law, specializing in gender and the law.
