Egbuji, a lawyer and a social scientist, obtained a Ph.D. in Victimology from the University of Lagos. Among various endeavors, CRIVIFON has spearheaded the campaign for hospitals to treat gunshot victims without requiring them to provide police reports beforehand.

Egbuji was one of the Nigerians invited to the 16th International Symposium of the World Society of Victimology, hosted at the City University of Hong Kong. The symposium, titled “Victims and Victimisation: Moving Towards an International Victimology,” drew approximately 198 participants from around the globe.
