Nneka Okekearu holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She furthered her education at the University of Bradford, where she obtained a Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Studies from 2012 to 2017. Also, she completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Entrepreneurship at SMC University.

Her professional development includes certifications as an IFC-LPI TPMA Assessor, obtained in March 2022, and as a Certified Online Learning Facilitator (COLF) in May 2021, both awarded by the Learning and Performance Institute.

With over two decades of extensive business experience, Nneka Okekearu has established herself as a prominent figure in entrepreneurship development. Her career commenced as a business development executive before transitioning to the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) in 2004. Under her leadership, the EDC has emerged as a leading enterprise development centre in Africa.
