Angela is a seasoned international lawyer and human rights activist with a track record of over six years in managing an international non-profit organization. She currently serves as the head of Avocats Sans Frontières France in Nigeria.
Having pursued her Law degree at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2001–2007), Angela is deeply committed to advocating for human rights, particularly in her efforts to end the death penalty in Nigeria. At ASF France, she leads advocacy campaigns aimed at ending torture, extra-judicial killings, and arbitrary detentions in the country.
In her role, Angela coordinates human rights programs across various states in Nigeria, ensuring legal aid for victims. She is recognised as an expert in strategic litigation and human rights enforcement at the ECOWAS Court, and she actively engages in anti-death penalty activism.
Before her current role, Angela gained valuable experience as a project officer at CIRRDOC, an organization focused on women’s and children’s rights, as well as at the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria.
