Funmi Falana currently holds the position of National Director at Women Empowerment and Legal Aid (WELA), an organization dedicated to defending the rights of women and children. Actively involved in activism, she leads campaigns against issues such as rape, women’s marginalization, and lack of participation in politics, as well as advocating for gender-based policies and decision-making.

Besides her role at WELA, Funmi Falana is a member of various professional and leadership associations both within and outside Nigeria, including the Nigerian Bar Association, the West African Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
