Taba Peterside is the CEO and founder of Waveline Growth Partners, a microfinance organisation that focuses on financial inclusion and development. She is a non-executive director with many years of board experience in non-profits and a variety of industries. She is a trainer in banking and financial analysis and has over 33 years of expertise in banking, financial services, and the capital market in Nigeria and abroad.
Before starting Waveline, Taba worked for seven years as the general manager of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, overseeing several divisions such as interactions with listed companies and new listings. She has also held positions in the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, Stanbic IBTC, and the International Finance Corporation.
Taba earned a B. A (Hons) in Development Studies from the University of Kent in Canterbury, UK, and an MDE (Master of Development Economics) from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a regular speaker on business, leadership, and finance topics, as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors Nigeria.
Taba is affiliated with and a senior member of many professional and civic organisations, including WIMBIZ, the Institute of Directors, and the Nigerian National Committee of United World Colleges, among others. She also gives occasional lectures at the Lagos Business School.
