Career & Expertise

George is the Head of Department, Conflict, Peacekeeping & Humanitarian Studies at the National Defence College, Abuja, where she is also a Research Fellow.

Her main responsibility is to conduct research in the clusters of the department, which are conflict, peace and humanitarian issues.

In addition, she participates in the organisation and implementation of short courses and training run by her department and the Centre in conjunction with ECOWAS and other partners.

She is a rapporteur programme, meetings and conferences run in the college, in addition to performing administrative tasks. She has represented the College in several local and international conferences, workshops and seminars. One of them is the 408th Peace and Security Open Session on Women and Children in Situations of Armed Conflict and the launch of the AU Gender Training Manual for AU Peace Support Operations which held at the African Union Commission, Addis Ababa.

Skills Utilisation

She can speak on issues relating to conflict, peacekeeping, and humanitarian crises in Nigeria.
