Career & Expertise

Chiemelie Ezeobi works for THISDAY Newspapers. She worked as Defence and Crime Reporter since she joined the organisation in 2010 as a youth corp member until June 8, 2018, when she received a quadruple promotion from reporter to Group Features Editor.

She has also acted as a temporary stringer for Times Magazine South Africa and BBC Nigeria.

She has won several awards, among which are the Security Watch Africa Award for Best Investigative Reporter, held in South Africa in 2013. She won the same award in 2015, this time in Houston, Texas, USA. She would again repeat that feat in Ghana in March 2018.

Security Watch Africa inducted her into the Board of International Juries, a position she has held since 2019. 

In 2018, she was awarded the Chevron scholarship to study at Pan Atlantic University for the Advanced Writing Skills Awareness course.
