Olasumbo is a graduate of Mass Communication and has a master’s in International Relations with a focus on Diplomacy and Strategic Studies.
She is a broadcast journalist with Lagos Television. She presently anchors and produces a television titled, “Sound Health.”
As a sexual and reproductive health rights advocate, Olasumbo realised the need to intensify efforts at increasing awareness of the use of modern contraceptives and maternal mortality reduction by partnering with a private provider of family planning and reproductive health products (DKT Nigeria) to develop content, anchor, and produce a weekly 45-minute programme.
Olasumbo is privileged to have covered politics, crime, judiciary, education, agriculture, health, rural development, religion, and deputy governors’ offices.
She has been recognised by the Presidency for her role in increased advocacy on reproductive health issues in Delta State through the MDGs/FLE Programme. She is an expert in reproductive health reportage and has won several awards and received certifications on that same subject concern.
She is a fellow of RNTC, Moth Global and John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (Bill& Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health)
