Phillips is a TV host, writer and presenter from the northern Nigeria. She is popularly known as the face of northern television.

She obtained a Diploma in Law from the University of Jos, and LLB from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.

She started the Salma Show in 2016 with focus on topical issues.
