Azikiwe retired as a Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is an academic, educator and author. She is the widow of former President of Nigeria Nnamdi Azikiwe. In 1999, she was appointed to the board of directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

She obtained her PhD from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1992. She was Head of Department, Foundations between 2005 and 2008. She worked as a teacher before moving to the department of educational foundation.

Skills Utilisation

Her current project after retirement is on the empowerment of widows and the girl-child through her NGO, Widows Lifeline. She can be contacted on issues of girl-child and education-related issues.
