Awobo-Pearse obtained her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin between 1987 and 1992, before proceeding to Montessori Centre International, London, where she obtained a Diploma in Nursery Foundation and Early Childhood. 

Between 2007 and 2009, Awobo-Pearse obtained her Master of Education (M.Ed) from The Open University, where she worked on teaching English as a second or foreign language.

Career & Expertise

Mrs. Yinka Awobo-Pearse is an early year educator and teacher trainer. She has worked in the early years space as a teacher and school owner for over 15 years and as a teacher trainer for over seven years. Her online videos teach concepts children learn in the early years.

Awobo-Pearse’s primary focus audience are children; however, teachers are encouraged to use these videos to support their classrooms and continuing professional development. 

Awobo-Pearse is the Managing Director, Woodentots Consult Limited and Founder, Woodentots Nursery School

Awobo-Pearse educates parents of children between 0-3 years on how they can support their child’s development at home using the Montessori philosophies and method of education.
