Prof. Caroline Omoti bagged an MBBS from the University of Benin in 1993 with further studies in Haemato-Oncology, Sickle Cell disease at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria FMCPATH in 2003 as well as a Doctor of Medicine – MD from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Medicine, , Medicine (2020).
She holds a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College in Haematology (2003) and served as Head of the Department of Haematology, University of Benin from 2008-2018.
Career & Expertise
She is presently conducting research on hematological cancers and has previously served as the board chairman of the Edo State Sickle Cell Board, head of the department of hematology at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), and professor at the university of Benin.
She holds membership to several organizations, including the Nigerian Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Nigerian Society for Haematology and Blood Transfusion, the Medical and Dental Consultants of Nigeria, and the Medical Women Association of Nigeria.

Prof. Omoti is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of benign and malignant conditions affecting both adults and children’s red and white blood cells, platelets, and the coagulation system.
