Education & Certifications

She obtaineded her MBBS from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in 1983 and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in 1989 where she won the Best Resident award in her set. She went on to earned a postgraduate diploma in dermatology at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology in the UK, affiliated with the University of London.

Career & Expertise

Prof. Ogunbiyi is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Specialties of Nigeria, the Nigerian Academy of Science, and an international Fellow of the American Association of Dermatology. She is also a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, the West African College of Physicians, and the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.

The well-published health specialist is a contributing author to numerous books, chapters in journals, and scholarly organizations.
She currently serves as both an international member and one of the vice presidents on the boards of both the International Society of Dermatology and the American Association of Dermatology.
