Boma Goodhead, 47, is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State and currently represents Asalga/Akulga Federal Constituency of Rivers State in the ninth assembly.
Career & Expertise
She began her political journey when she briefly worked with former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, as a junior assistant and later moved to the Federal Capital Territory where she vied for a chairmanship position in Abuja Municipal Area Council on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in 2007.
Boma later decamped to the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), to contest for the House of Representatives seat for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the FCT in 2011, which she also lost at the primaries.
She vied to represent her constituency in the State House of Assembly on three occasions, but lost until 2015 when she won a seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). She has co-sponsored several bills and is the sole sponsor of the University of Port Harcourt Act (amendment bill), 2017.
