Kema Chikwe attended Advanced Teachers College; studied for her Bachelor’s and Master’s at the Queens College, University of New York. She returned to Nigeria and got a PhD from the University of Nigeria.
Career & Expertise
She served as chief talk show producer and principal producer for Anambra Broadcasting Corporation. She was Prime Time Limited’s CEO and publisher of Ash magazine.
She entered politics by joining the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), National Republican Congress (NRC), and subsequently the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Between 1999 through 2003, she served as Minister of Transportation and then Minister of Aviation.
Later, she was appointed the ambassador of Nigeria to Iceland and Ireland.
