Chioma is a member of a number of organisations like the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the International Centre for Journalists, the International AIDS Society, the Journalists’ Alliance for PMTCT in Nigeria, the Health Writers Association of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport,

She also serves as the chair of the Society for Media Advocacy on Health in Nigeria, a group of health reporters who primarily employ advocacy, data, and research analysis to protect the public’s health and wellbeing through development journalism.
