SHARE FAIR

The Share-fair is an accountability meeting under the FRLP fellowship where the participants come together to share their progress report and updates on their leadership and story projects along the mentors and other participants. The Share-fair is also used to ensure reporters have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with their mentors

So far, the FRLP fellowship has held three Share-fairs since programme commencement in 2017. The Share-fair happens six weeks after the training and provides an avenue to fire up participants who are yet to get headway to learn from the experiences of those who have commenced project implementation.

The Share-fair holds over a period of two days, with the first Share-fair has an accountability meeting and the second day as a Tweet Conference with additional trainings for the participants. Just as the programme focuses on cross cutting issues of access and abuse among girls and women, the Tweet Conference is an avenue to discuss these issues on a larger scale among interested public.

The 2018 Tweet conference which held on 22 November 2018 focused on ‘Women’s Participation in Politics’ with the upcoming of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria. It had in attendance 2017 fellows, mentors. In 2019, a Tweet Conference took place after the FRLP Share-fair on 11 September 2019 to discuss platforms for encouraging safe spaces for girls and women in Nigeria.
